The central library facility at Salaya campus, called Mahidol University Library and Information Center (MULIC), is another place for students to study by themselves after their classes. Several zones are divided and isolated so that students have quiet places for reading books, revising the lesson and surfing the internet. In addition, small conference rooms are provided for group activities. The library system of Mahidol University has been long known for its high reputation in term of journal accessibility. Lacking of journal papers is almost out of question. However, in the case when there are some papers that are unable to access, the library will suggest the students to use paper-requesting service and the requested papers will be search via Thai Library Network-Metropolitan (ThaiLIS) system. In addition, students can order the articles from the publishers via the library service (small charge). The students are allowed to get access to online journal at home through either VPN or Ejournal system. The special feature of Ejournal system is that it also provides the access of online journal using tablet and smart phone.
By the end of the day, some students choose to relax themselves by working out. Jogging is another popular activity for the students here. In addition, various kinds of sport fields and gyms as well as some sport equipments are also provided (borrowing service), such as athletic ground, soccer field, badminton court, tennis court, swimming pool, and basketball court. Fitness center, sauna and aerobics are also available.
